Managing Your Child in Initial Days of His School


 
Going to Kindergarten is very crucial and life changing activity in kids life. This is where is real foundation is built for the child and give him the confidence to face the challenges of life. But sending a child school is a herculean task for parents. So below are few tips which may come handy and will ease your situation in sending your child school in few initial days.


  1. Talk lot of good things about the school with the child.
  2. Get involve with child and talk to him more of what he is doing in the school
  3.  Always show them how their friends and cousins are going to school and enjoying it
  4.   Give you child some small gifts like sweets and chocolates if they perform well in class or they go school without creating trouble.
  5.  Make proper schedule for the child, especially sleeping time and make sure they get minimum 7hrs sleep in the night to enjoy their school
  6. Make sure your child eats properly before going to school and put his favorite foods in the Tiffin box and most importantly put foods which are easy for child to eat without anybody’s help
  7.  Never compare your child with our classmates or put any kind of pressure and simply watch your child going school and make him enjoy school and studies. Every child is unique and special and have their own area of interest, always keep this mind
  8. Always encourage your child to participate in school activities and motivate him to do good
  9. Always attend parents’ teacher meeting to get feedback about your child and also convey a message that you are responsible parent.
  10.   Even after putting best effort if the child is not willing to go to school, then meet the teacher to understand child behavior and also observe other children to understand why is your child is not willing to go to school. Is there something he does not like etc?

These are some tips based on my experience and I am sure these will help you in handling few initial months of your child’s school. Later these will become regular practice and you and your child will become used to it. Though these activities I mentioned are with keeping in mind the initial days of your child’s school, but following it always till your child is grown enough is best approach. This will help you understand your child in a better way and also help you in providing right guidance to your child.
